Blue Hydrangea

So, as I was walking the dogs this morning I found out that the mysterious bush in our front garden is actually a blue hydrangea!  I had to research it to figure out what it is really called, but it is very pretty and I cannot wait to see it in full bloom!

A little bit of home

This is one of my favorite photos and makes me miss home.  I have to get a kayak one of these days to travel down the rivers around where I live!

Accomplishing Dreams

Check out my home blog over at www.accomplishingdreams.blogspot.com.  I update almost daily about progress I am making in my house on random projects I create for myself.  Check it out and let me know what you think.

A New Identity

Over the next few days/weeks this site will be going thru some changes.  I can't seem to decide on a background as of yet, but the biggest change is that I am actually going to change the name of everything from my maiden name to my married name.  For now, my domain, with links to galleries, will stay Heather Meadows, but that will eventually change as well.

Below is my new logo as well as my icon for my photographs.  Let me know what you think!!

RIP Chicaro

Today, my horse Chicaro, had to be put down.  She was 33, had terrible arthritis and some other medical issues.  Last week she stopped eating grain, which is very strange for her and today she was not able to stand up.  So my mom called the vet and they came out this morning to do it.  She really was a great horse, but due to her arthritis issues, she was not able to be ridden for the past 15ish years and was just happy being a horse in a giant field.  I really will miss her but am happy she is finally at peace with her best buddy Corky.

My Pups

I decided to take a few shots of the pups last night.  They decided, in return, to scare the crap out of me around bedtime and go insane looking out the window growling and barking.  I made Glen get up to look at what was out there, but he couldn't see anything... Needless to say, it took me quite some time to fall asleep last night,  At least they were trying to save us from something... those damn bunnies!
